Description
Bromide/Bromine is an essential minor component / element / ion in natural sea water (NSW). Bromide is found at about 65 parts per million (ppm) at 77F / 25C at a salinity of 35 parts per thousand (ppt) or a specific gravity of 1.026. Research has demonstrated that sufficient levels of Br- must be present in order for Iodide to be metabolized by captive marine organisms. Bromide is found at 10%-35% of NSW water levels in some low priced marine salts. Therefore it is essential to fortify or supplement some brands of marine salts with Br-. ACPTM Bromide Br- is a unique blend of highly concentrated forms of pH balanced, bio-availableTM, and bio-activeTM high purity bromide/bromine. ACPTM Bromide Br- replaces various essential forms of bromide/bromine that are consumed by captive marine life in their normal metabolic process. Multiple forms of essential Br- are employed as they are found in NSW. ACPTM Bromide Br- is ideal to fortify low end marine salts with this essential minor ion. Maintain Br- at 65 ppm. for sea water duplication. This is ideal for marine fish and various sea plants and algae. Maintain Br- at 70-75 ppm. for reef aquariums. Avoid adjusting magnesium over 80 ppm.
