Description
The Bat Stingray is one of the most well known and majestic of all the large stingrays. If you are experienced enough and have a truly large aquarium, the Bat Stingray can be a true showpiece addition. Bat Stingrays need a tank with a deep and soft sand bed to avoid any abrasions that might lead to infections. Bat Stingrays are carnivores and feed on meaty foods. It is best for Bat Stingrays to eat on live feeder fish and shrimp. Over time they can be adjusted to eating prepared marine food like clams, scallops, shrimp, and chunks of fresh marine fish.
If you can provide an adequate aquarium, Bat Stingrays can be an amazing addition to your aquarium. Please just make sure that your tank is large enough to suit one, and it will be housed with only larger tank mates.
