The addition of trace elements proportional to the addition of Calcium and Carbonate in a marine tank is a well known supplementation technique. The most well known method is the Balling Method. We have developed our own method, based on the Balling Method, we call the Coral Essentials Method, using our own Coral Power Trace-A, B and C.

DOSING INSTRUCTIONS:

Simple Dosing – Best Methods – Amazing Results
Coral Essentials believe that dosing your marine aquarium tank should be as simple as possible. However, results are what we all look for, and ultimately, dosing must be the most effective it possibly can be. We also know all tanks are different, all marine aquarists are different, there is no “one size fits all”. For this simple reason we have developed a range of products that cater for the first time hobbyist with a 50 litre tank all the way through to the fanatical, advanced reefer with an epic, fully stocked, 5000 litre, SPS system (and a bank account to suit!!). Most of us sit somewhere in between, Coral Essentials has everyone covered.
The Simple Things in Life:
The simple things in life are often the best! We’ve created our range of products so that anyone running a marine aquarium for the first time can achieve great results. Perhaps you are time poor and would prefer to sit back and enjoy the aquarium rather than forever performing a range of water tests while also filling and adjusting dosing pumps with your scarce spare time.
On each product page we have detailed manual dosing information for directly adding our products to your tank on a daily or as instructed basis. Please make sure you follow the dosing instructions closely.
For Those Who Want More Control:
Simple is great, but for truly amazing marine aquariums what is needed to keep it looking and running fantastic is anything but simple! Like most things in life, if you want it to be the best it possibly can be, then that requires more effort, time and dedication. That is why for most products where element testing is readily available, we provide specific dosing instructions based on your tank usage.
The Pillars of Marine Tank Care:
The 3 pillars of marine tank care are Calcium, Alkalinity and Magnesium. With our Primary Care Range each product is manufactured to a specific concentration so that you can dose the exact amount you require based on your tank’s consumption. When you regularly test for these 3 components you know how much your tank is using. It is a simple matter of adjusting your dosage to suit your tanks uptake of each element. For the specific dosing of our Primary Care Range – Calcium, Carbonate (Alkalinity) and Magnesium.
The Coral Essentials Method – Ultimate Control:
The addition of trace elements proportional to the addition of Calcium and Carbonate in a marine tank is a well known supplementation technique. The most well known method is the Balling Method. We have developed our own method, based on the Balling Method, we call the Coral Essentials Method, using our own Coral Power Trace-A, B and C. Other manufacturers of marine supplements determine the mix of calcium, Alk and trace elements in their pre-mixed solutions for you with no way of varying the trace levels. But we know that not all tanks are the same, not all tanks are “one size fits all”. Simply add the starting quantity of our Trace element mixes to your Calcium and Carbonate water, and then dose according to your usage. Fine tune the amount of trace added to each based on growth, colour and vitality. Soon enough you will be adding micro-elements at the optimum ratio for your tank. Advanced marine aquarists, typically have advanced tank control systems. There is no better control over the addition of marine supplements and micro-elements with a high degree of accuracy than using automated dosing pumps. Follow the instructions below for making up your Calcium and Alk dosing water complete with Coral Power Trace-A, B and C for the ultimate in marine aquarium dosing.
Make up your Calcium water to a concentration level of 100,000 ppm. In 1 litre of the 100,000 ppm calcium water add 2 ml of Coral Power Trace-A and 2 ml of Coral Power Trace-B. Fine tune the Power Trace quantity as needed to produce the best results for your tank. Dose the solution based on the Calcium uptake/usage.
Make up your Alkalinity (Carbonate) water to a concentration level of 100,000 ppm. In 1 litre of the 100,000 ppm carbonate water add 2 ml of Coral Power Trace-C. Fine tune the Power Trace quantity as needed to produce the best results for your tank. Dose the solution based on the Alkalinity (Carbonate) uptake/usage.
