Description
Pink Pocillopora are fantastic, SPS corals. Clusters of small pink tentacles cover a branching skeleton. This species is often described as cauliflower corals, due to the impressive shape they take on.
Compared to other small polyp stony corals, Pink Pocillopora are not as sensitive to less than ideal conditions. Polyps are also able to evacuate from the main colony when under stress. Giving them the chance to find a more suitable habitat. As a result, these corals a a great option for someone starting out on SPS.
Pink Pocillopora requires space, owning to its fast growing nature. They also possess sweeper tentacles that can sting neighbouring corals. Pocillopora display their best colour in strong light but they will do well in moderate lighting as well. These corals favour strong currents and can be target fed small foods, such as amino acids and plankton.
